	How can YOU get your pictures and information published on the WWW? Is it a lot of work to publish your own Website(page)? How much does it cost?

There are many different ways to do Web Publishing, and many different tools that can be used. Individual designers are using a great variety of different tools, and the results they get vary depending on how they are doing it. If you are shopping for a Web Designer, be sure to look at the work they have already done, and their CREDENTIALS. Ask about the tools they will be using to publish your site. Check with their current and former customers.

The main expenses will be in the areas of Website Creation, Hosting, Maintenance/Updating, and Promotion. These are the main cost areas to explore. If you have someone else do it all for you, you don't even need to have your own computer, or any of those expenses of time and money.

How does AAAWWW do Web Publishing?

We are using MS Publisher™ to create files to put on the WWW. MS Publisher is an efficient tool that allows easy format and layout of pages using 'drag and drop' functions. This allows us to do draft pages and change them rapidly so we can discover what our customers will like. It also has a huge variety of attractive built in web buttons, divider bars, fonts, backgrounds, and other objects to use to create a quality page quickly. This is why AAAWWW can offer 'fancy' work for affordable prices. MS Publisher creates .html (Hyper Text Mockup Language) files that will 'work' on the various kinds of Web Browsers others are using. After creating the .html files with MS Publisher, we edit them to customize them. Photos are usually used in .jpg file format, and compressed for faster loading. We can also make transparent background, and animated .gif photos, using GIF Construction Set.

We are using Ulead's PhotoImpact™ to prepare photos for publishing. It is used to do scanning, custom cropping, special effects, editing, and to add picture frames to photos. The files are then uploaded to the Web Server using FTP (File Transfer Protocol).

At this time, AAAWWW does not do 'frames'or music. We want to offer quality AFFORDABLE services, and that is why we chose to use MS Publisher. It doesn't 'do' frames. It does do music and movies, but too many other's computer systems are not compatible with them yet. Also, music files can take some time to load. We will link movies, as your visitors can choose to view them or not. Since so much of the work we are doing is 'graphic heavy', and graphics take time to load, we do not think having music too is a good idea at this time. We may add these and other services in the future when average transfer times on the net improve overall.

We also are not using any JAVA as it is still (in our opinion) not compatible over a wide enough range of platforms, and it has downward compatibility problems with itself. And everybody doesn't run out and buy new hardware and software just because we put up a new page.Script errors do not impress your site's visitors - at least not the way you want them to be. And many would not be able to see that 'kewl' stuff at all - so why bother? At some time in the future this situation may change, but this is our position for now.
