Since 1967 Aries Afghan Hounds have been bred for integrity of structure, function and pedigree. The focus of this breeding programme has been on producing beautiful, intelligent companions for show or pet homes. Most Aries champions finished their titles on their own merit often with novice owner/handlers! In a small and selective breeding programme, seldom breeding more than one litter a year, we have produced nearly forty Champions of record on two continents. Seven of these champions have won Best in Show at Specialties and All-Breed shows. In a small and selective breeding programme, seldom breeding more than one litter a year, we have produced nearly forty Champions of record on two continents. Seven of these champions have won Best in Show at Specialties and All-Breed shows. Our goal is to produce Afghan Hounds worthy of representing this breed in the Hound Group. Australian Champion Aries My Stars still holds the record of being the youngest Afghan Hound to ever win Best in Show. Ch. Aries in Copper was the dam of five separate Best in Show winners from two litters. Aries hounds have provided a pivot point in the breeding of several successful kennels over the years, they are bred to breed on. Due to our high standards, our success rate is exemplary; if the dogs are not good enough for us to keep, we won't sell them to show homes. We provide complete 'technical support' with each puppy !
