This litter was created to combine the two branches of Old Coastwind.  The one branch, that which is on the previous pages, and the blue/black branch originating with Ch. Coastwind Jacoranda via Coastwind Celebration.  Pictured is the grandsire of our litter, Ch. Aries Hard Copy whose pedigree at about sixteen generations, is about 50% BIS Ch. Shirkhan of Grandeur, and 50% Khorrasan.  Known as Zero ( the perfect number ) Hard Copy was bred to Ch. Aries~Sankhya Killer Queen ( Sophia ) to produce the sire of this 1998 litter, Aries If Looks Could Kill.  Sophia is pictured below with her progeny at a Specialty.

Major pointed Aries Voodoo Queen, known as Marie La Veau and named after the famous voodoo queen of New Orleans, Marie is just now REALLY ready to start winning.  She has so may reserves that we lost count, but she is usually shown ...owner/handled...in major competition.  Marie is owned and loved by our dear friend, Annie Watts.  She has two brothers, Aries Hard Rain (Sleet) who won his first major from the 9-12 puppy class, and our lovely Aries Water Dragon who had to be rescued from his former home and is currently growing his coat back.

The Aries philosophy dictates that only the cream of the crop go to show homes and in our opinion that's almost never more than three or four at the most from any litter.  Lesser Aries dogs have finished which were sold as pets but we believe that only the finest should be bred from.
