I took Percy to his first shows a couple of weeks before his 6th birthday. He went Best Of Winners 3 days of 4, has 3 CH points already.
Hoping he is a future CH. If I had the resources, he'd be a GCH like his brother, Eli, a long time ago. Update, as of 10/8/23, Percy has 10 CH points! Not bad, since his co-owner had him shaved less than a year ago, before he came back to me.

Passion is OFA EXCELLENT, and thyroid NORMAL. Her sire was
CH Hosanna White Lightning, her dam GCHS CH
Hosanna Love Unfailing. Passion finished her CH at 8 months 2 days, and had 19 GCH points by her 1st birthday. I had orthopedic problems myself, and not resources to get her a handler, so she was out of the ring for a few years, but then
I got some mobility back, and was able to put 3 GCH majors on her myself (2 of those 5 points). When my hip when out when she was only 12 months & 4 days old, a 10 year old Jr. handler won a GCH major with he as well, BOS over a special (with a BIG professional
handler}, so she had total 4 GCH majors. I did not have the resources to keep her in the ring after that. She is a very sweet girl, but has always been somewhat of an imp. We had tried several times to get her bred, with no luck. Guess she was just waiting
for Percy to come along.

I have been line breeding on "Alf" (Alfadeus Abdul Kamahl) and "Cassie" (Scharlau Sandcastle II) for nearly 20 years now. And, we've also line bred on our other 2 foundation bitches
for years. So far, none of the puppies we have produced has suffered from lung or stomach torsion, chylothorax, HD, nor any other serious genetic health defect. There are NO TESTS for the most devastating of these, lung/stomach torsion (bloat) & chylothorax,
and these ARE usually GENETIC. Since there are NO tests for those, the ONLY way to breed away from those is to incorporate dogs in pedigrees that have NOT produced them, and especially avoid line breeding (at least close up) on dogs that have produced them. |
