NOTE: as of February 1, 2003 this person has STILL not filed the satisfaction of this judgement. So the credit of the Farley family is still damaged due to this case of agravated lawsuit abuse. Not content with almost bankrupting a family of 6 to obtain possession 'for free' of a dog she valued at $200, she continues to cause our family additional hardship. But for our excellent credit rating, she would have succeeded in making our family homeless and dependent on public assistance. This is the ONLY blot on my husband's and my combined total of 70+ YEARS of NEVER defaulting on anything, and NEVER making a single late payment on anything.

SCROLL DOWN TO SEE A SCAN OF THE ACTUAL CHECK, and also the Posey County, Indiana, case number.

I was not allowed to testify in court about the actual conditions in this person's 'home' when I rescued Mercy from there. There was another person at this Samoyed breeder's home when I was there to pick up Mercy. As we chatted at the kitchen table a couple of the Samoyed breeder's male dogs hiked their legs on the table legs (and no one even said 'no' to them), and I knew why I could hardly breath, and had smelled the place from down the street. And Mercy threw up a very large pile (she was full of worms - as this 'home' was full of feces), and about a half dozen Samoyeds ran over and ate it all up - and the friend (the other person who was there - I never could remember her name, and for some reason she was never called to appear in court), said, 'Oh good, now we don't have to clean that up', and laughed as though that were some kind of a funny joke. The Samoyed breeder had maybe 20 Samoyed dogs plus a couple of other breeds (no whippets at that time, but she has them now), including 1 or 2 litters of Samoyed puppies running all around loose, and in and out the back door. The 'home' was rather small, and seemed to be wall to wall unruly dogs, jumping and climbing, and practically knocking me off my feet. They all but ruined my clothes while I was there for only about 1/2 hour. She (the Samoyed breeder) bragged she had 'rescued' a couple of them, and also that she'd wormed the puppies 3 times, and they were still passing worms (duh!!!). The average sized 'city' backyard apparently was rarely if ever scooped, and all the dogs ran in and out with poop on their feet, and the entire home seemed to be well covered, even the walls up several feet. I had poop all over me shortly, as they kept jumping up on me. And I will NEVER as long as I live ever get the memory of that STENCH out of my nose - it is still beyond my understanding how ANYONE (unless they have a severe mental problem) could live like that. I can't imagine anyone leaving a RAT in a place like that, let alone a valuable show dog with long delicate silky coat. I wonder if (the Jr. girl) knows who I am talking about? I had thought SHE would have been in court to testify --- and I have wondered why she wasn't? It occurred to me that perhaps SHE wasn't willing to lie for this Samoyed breeder (as the ex- Junior Handler girl did). If by chance (the Jr. girl's parents) in fact did not know what conditions were REALLY like at the Samoyed breeder's home, this is someone they could talk to, if (the Jr. girl) knows how to reach her, and if she would be honest - IF they would like to find out the truth.

Mercy was ill when I got her back and I rode all the way home to Kentucky with her, with all the windows rolled down (in December) because of the smell. It took me several days to get the urine and feces encrusted mats out of her coat, and there was some damage that would take years to grow out again. This is why I absolutely REFUSED to return Mercy to this person.

It is beyond all understanding what amazing miracles our Lord performed, that allowed me with Strength and Serentiy to be obedient to the court, and return this beautiful animal (Hosanna Song of Mercy) to this 'person' and this 'home'. (see ). One good thing about all this, this Samoyed breeder had been caused to clean her place all up - must have spent quite a bit on remodeling, even sodded the yard - just so she could 'win' her 'case'. Wonder if it stayed cleaned up? I wonder if Mercy's coat is all matted with urine and feces again? Or maybe she's been clipped? Or succumbed to the worms by now? Or worse?

I would like to find out the name of this person (who was there, but didn't get involved in this case). A REWARD is being offered for this information. Also, if this person sees this, I would appreciate being able to talk to you. Anyone who has any information, also information about Mercy - is she still alive? Is she covered in feces and mats again, or well cared for? - please call (270)432-7272 (ask for Lynda).
