LOST HOSANNA AFGHAN
HOUNDS
The thing some people aren't
aware of about this breed is that they are runners -
they can cover an incredible
amount of distance even in a short time. They
are also very beautiful - if someone did find them, some would
probably just keep them, and then they could be
transported, and they could end up just about
ANYWHERE.
Even the shy ones,
which would be all but impossible to catch, could get hurt or disabled, and be
picked up by
someone, or be trapped in a fenced or
enclosed area. And, this is a hunting breed, they are capable (most of
them) of catching rabbits and
small game. They are legendary for surviving on their own in woods for
YEARS.
Also, IF they were 'found' or caught, they are incredible
escape artists, and have turned up loose years after
they were lost, and even all the way across the country.
All of mine are tattooed on the belly, and
all their tattoos start with TKY1D... (and a number on the
end)
They are registered with AKC and also with
Tattoo-A-Pet. Phone for them is 1(800)TATTOOS.
Actually ANY dogs, CATS, OR OTHER
ANIMALS you find with tattoos starting with T and a two digit
code for a state are tattoo-a-pet numbers. IF FOUND WITH SUCH A
TATTOO, and THEY ARE NOT MINE,
PLEASE CALL 1(800)TATTOOS. ANY Afghan
Hound produced by a reputable breeder, WILL have
PERMENANT ID - either a tattoo, or a
microchip, or BOTH. SOMEONE's heart is broken due to
that LOST
AFGHAN HOUND. IF you
ever 'find' one, PLEASE BE DILIGENT, and attempt to find the
OWNER.
THANK YOU SO
MUCH!
HERE ARE
PICTURES & INFO ABOUT LOST HOSANNA AFGHAN HOUNDS
FEMALE BLACK & SILVER BRINDLE -
'WINDY'
This one got away from her new owner
a couple of weeks before Christmas, 2011, IN ALABAMA.
She is A SIMILAR color as
Wally.
MALE BLACK AND TAN BRINDLE -
'WALLY'
Wally was a wedding present to my son
and his new wife. He disappeared from their yard (possibly STOLEN) in
Miami Gardens, FL last year. His
sister is a AKC Champion and Grand Champion, and she placed in a GROUP last
week,
though they are only 20 months old.
Wally is a BIG boy (or should be). I don't have a new pic of him, only his
baby pic,
but he IS TATTOOED, like all of mine.
He was a black and tan brindle, so will look mostly black.
Joy. A RED/cream FEMALE - lost
IN SOUTHERN INDIANA, NOVEMBER, 2009,
She got away from her new owner after only a few
days, and I spent at least a week in S. IN looking for her.
'Precious' - RED/CREAM
FEMALE
I spent months looking for her - I do think someone
took her away.
Yes, I suppose she's probably dead by now, but her
BROTHER is still here, and doing pretty well
for 13 years old (as of
2012).
Should you have any info, my phone # is

ANY help is appreciated. Thank you so much.
